The ESCAPE Project’s Mission to Integrate Spiritual Counseling into Prison Education Curricula – ESCAPE Project

The ESCAPE Project’s Mission to Integrate Spiritual Counseling into Prison Education Curricula

News

This innovative initiative seeks to empower professionals working within prison settings to effectively support incarcerated individuals, youth at risk of crime, and ex-young prisoners on their journey towards rehabilitation and reintegration into society. At the heart of the ESCAPE project lies a commitment to bridging the gap between spirituality and science. By leveraging evidence-based methodologies and psychological principles, the project aims to create a comprehensive counseling framework that addresses the diverse needs and experiences of individuals within the criminal justice system.

One of the key objectives of the ESCAPE project is to develop a practical and applicable framework that can be seamlessly integrated into existing prison education curricula. Through collaboration with professionals and stakeholders from diverse backgrounds, the project seeks to ensure that the framework is relevant, accessible, and culturally sensitive to the unique contexts of each partner country.

Central to the ESCAPE project’s mission is the empowerment of professionals who work within prison environments. By equipping them with the knowledge, skills, and tools needed to deliver effective spiritual counselling interventions, the project aims to enhance the quality of care provided to incarcerated individuals and youth at risk of crime.

Moreover, by fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange among professionals across Europe, the project seeks to promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the field of prison rehabilitation. By integrating spirituality into the prison education curricula, we have the opportunity to unlock new pathways to healing, growth, and transformation for individuals impacted by incarceration!
