As part of the ESCAPE project, our visit to Zuera Prison provided a unique opportunity to experience the intersection of faith and art in rehabilitation. The visit began with a Mass conducted within the prison, creating a moment of shared reflection and spirituality among inmates, volunteers, and our group. Following the service, we joined the inmates in watching a performance by the Conservatoire of Zaragoza Choir. The event filled the room with a sense of joy and connection, further enhanced by inmates showcasing their own talents, such as flamenco dancing. This experience highlighted the significance of cultural and spiritual activities in fostering a positive atmosphere, promoting emotional well-being, and supporting the journey toward reintegration into society. By participating in activities such as the Mass and the Conservatoire of Zaragoza Choir performance, inmates were provided with a platform to experience shared moments of reflection, community, and cultural expression, which embodied the core objectives of our project.
