ESCAPE Project ends with dissemination event
The implementation process of the ESCAPE project titled Educational Spiritual Guidance Practices in European Prisons ended on 30.12.2024.
Within the scope of the project;
1. 5 international activities including 4 project management meetings and 1 Training Workshop were realized;
2. A comprehensive field analysis study was conducted and reported in 4 partner countries (Turkey, Romania, Spain and Italy);
3. Good examples of Spiritual Guidance practices carried out in 4 partner countries in the context of penal institutions and/or other disadvantaged groups were compiled;
4. A scientifically based Spiritual Guidance Training Content was prepared and tested through various pilot applications.
All outputs of the project were prepared in multiple languages (Turkish, English, Romanian, Spanish and Italian).
As the last local activity of the project, a Dissemination Event and Closing Meeting was held on Thursday, 26 December 2024, hosted by Kocaeli Open Prison Execution Institution. The event, chaired by Mr. Hasan Gündüz, Deputy Chief Public Prosecutor of Kocaeli, was attended by Mr. Nazif Yücel, Public Prosecutor in charge of penal institutions, as well as the managers of the 5 penal institutions and the Directorate of Probation in Kocaeli campus and many expert personnel who are among the target group of the project.
After providing detailed information about the activities carried out during the period of the project, the questions of the participants were answered. The meeting was finalized after the feedbacks of the participants about the Project and the activity were received.
