On December 11-12, 2024, Zaragoza, Spain, hosted the Final Transnational Partners Meeting of the ESCAPE project. Participants from Romania, Spain, Italy, and Turkey came together to review the project’s achievements, finalize outstanding tasks, and plan for its long-term impact. Discussions centered on evaluating project outcomes, including educational tools, multilingual resources, and pilot tests conducted in partner countries.
A standout feature of the meeting was a study visit to Daroca Prison. Participants gained valuable insights into the Spanish correctional system through interactions with staff, volunteers, and psychologists. The prison tour provided a closer look at the inner workings of the Spanish system and facilitated meaningful exchanges on the role of education and social reintegration in correctional settings. This visit highlighted the practical relevance of the ESCAPE project’s focus on education as a pathway to rehabilitation and reintegration.
