1. Establishment of the Project Management Team
To ensure the successful execution of the ESCAPE Project, an expert management team was formed, consisting of experienced members from partner countries. This team was structured to coordinate each phase of the project, facilitate collaboration among partner countries, and ensure the smooth and efficient progress of all processes.

2. Development of Adaptable Strategies and Risk Management Plans
Considering the dynamic nature of the project, adaptable strategies were developed. Detailed risk management strategies were formulated to prevent potential setbacks and ensure the project meets its objectives successfully. Possible delays, budget management, coordination between partner countries, and potential challenges in field applications were assessed, and preventive measures were planned accordingly.

3. Kick-off Meeting – Kocaeli, Turkey (February 1-2, 2023)
The official launch of the ESCAPE Project took place on February 1-2, 2023, in Kocaeli, Turkey, with the participation of all project
partners. The meeting covered project objectives, work packages, and the project timeline in detail. Additionally, site visits to Kocaeli Open Correctional Institution and Kocaeli Probation Directorate were conducted, where ideas were exchanged on spiritual counseling practices and on-site observations were made.

4. Second Transnational Meeting – Palermo, Italy (September 19-21, 2023)
The second international management meeting of the ESCAPE Project was held on September 19-21, 2023, in Palermo, Italy. This meeting focused on reviewing the final versions of the project’s first outputs, including literature reviews and field research reports. Additionally, future project activities were planned, and decisions were made to strengthen cooperation among partner countries.

5. Third Transnational Meeting – Timisoara, Romania (May 21-22, 2024)
On May 21-22, 2024, a transnational learning, teaching and training activity (LTTA) was held in Timisoara, Romania, alongside a simultaneous management board meeting.
Board members and participants from Romania, Italy, Spain, and Turkey carried out their activities within the scope of Work Package 4, focusing on scientific methodology and practical applications in the field of spiritual counseling. The meeting provided a platform for the exchange of best practices and strategic development of project outcomes.
During the training activities, project staff and experts involved in Work Package 4 had the opportunity to enhance their professional skills, improve their qualifications, and discuss innovative approaches to spiritual counseling in correctional institutions. Different perspectives were gained for upcoming fieldwork, valuable feedback was collected, and the training experience was enriched through collaborative discussions.
On May 22, ESCAPE partners visited the Timisoara Open Prison, where they engaged in direct discussions with correctional officers and inmates. This visit provided a valuable opportunity to observe the institution’s operations, assess the effectiveness of its educational and rehabilitation programs, and exchange insights on different correctional approaches.

6. Final Meeting – Zaragoza, Spain (December 11-12, 2024)
The Final Transnational Partner Meeting of the ESCAPE Project was held on December 11-12, 2024, in Zaragoza, Spain, to evaluate the project’s closing phase and analyze the outcomes. Participants from Romania, Spain, Italy, and Turkey gathered to discuss project outputs, unfinished tasks, and long-term impacts.
Discussions focused on educational tools, multilingual resources, and the evaluation of pilot implementations conducted in partner
countries. This meeting played a crucial role in determining the final steps to ensure the lasting impact of the ESCAPE Project at an international level.
